Dr. Naveed Iqbal M.D.

Naveed Iqbal, M.D. is a Psychiatrist Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Iqbal has over 40 years of academic research and clinical experience. He is currently the Medical Director of Medical Psych Care as well as the President of Advanced Bio-Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Iqbal is also the Chief of Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian- Hudson Valley Hospital Center. Dr. Iqbal has been the Director of Acute Services as well as the Director of Schizophrenia Research Program at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he also served as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry. He continues to affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center. 

Dr. Iqbal is an author of many peer review articles and Guest Editor of Journals. He has presented his research nationally and Internationally. Dr. Iqbal is also an actively sought speaker and has presented over a thousand lectures nationally and Internationally; traveling widely within US and as far as Japan and Australia. He is frequently sought as a consultant and advisor by other psychiatrists, medical colleagues, multinational companies as well as academic institutions.

Dr. George Isaac, M.D.

Dr. George Isaac, MD is a board certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist.

He has decades of experience with all types of patients and in all types of settings, in the United States and abroad. He speaks both English and Malayalam.

He specializes in identifying the nature of the problem accurately, especially in children and adolescents, and if pharmacotherapy is indicated providing that service in a careful and appropriate manner.

Dr. Isaac evaluates patients in one visit and will let them / parents know what the problem is and if it could be properly treated in a solo practice setting.

He has special knowledge of Bipolar Disorder in children and adolescents and wrote and published a book on that subject, “Bipolar not ADHD: unrecognized epidemic of manic depressive illness in children”, two decades back. Dr. Isaac is also board certified in Psychiatry – FRCP(c) from Canada.

At his office at Med Psych Care, Dr. Isaac mainly sees children and Adolescents , (but may consider some appropriate adult patients also).

Dr. Marie-Elena Grosett, LCSW

Dr. Marie-Elena Grosett began her human service career in 1981 in psychiatric residential rehabilitation services for adults.

She moved from outpatient mental health services for adults to the realm of child welfare in residential treatment services for foster care children in 1994. In 2001, Dr. Grosett returned to outpatient community mental health, overseeing the delivery of mental health clinic services for children and families.

In her capacity as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she opened a solo private practice where her clientele ranges in age from preschoolers to the elderly. Dr. Grosett has also been a Study Coordinator and is currently a Senior Clinical Research Associate.

In addition to training, providing field placement and private supervision (for licensing purposes) for social workers, as well as mental health counselors and family and marriage therapists, Dr. Grosett has taught social work classes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She established Creative Solutions: Counseling & Consultation Services, LLC, located in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Dr. Grossett has a busy practice at her office at Medical Psych Care on Tuesdays from 4:00 -7:00 p.m.



Dr. Gregory Asnis, M.D. 

Dr. Gregory Asnis is a practicing Neurologist and board certified Psychiatrist , and affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center, Burke Rehabilitation, Phelps Memorial Center, and New York Presbyterian.

Dr. Asnis graduated from Allegheny University of the Health Sciences in 1972 and has been in practice for 46 years. He completed his residency at Albany Medical center. Dr. Asnis accepts multiple insurance plans.

Dr. Asnis has been an advisor to Dr. Iqbal for over thirty years and sees some of his patients at Medical Psych Care.

Anum Iqbal N.Y.S. Licensed Social Worker

Anum Iqbal is a New York State Licensed Social Worker and a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work. She is trained in both psychodynamic and behavioral approaches and is passionate about using a holistic approach to care. Anum truly believes that an individual’s mind, body, and soul are connected and the key to personal development and growth is to balance all the different aspects of one’s self.

She started her career as a social worker at the Department of Homeless Services where she gained the rich and valuable experience of working with individuals struggling with multiple issues simultaneously, such as homelessness, mental health, and/or domestic violence and substance use. She was able to use the treatment approaches she has learned as well as her intuitive guidance to help individuals transform their lives. She also has experience working as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapist working with children on the spectrum. 

Anum is a firm believer that healing comes from within and each individual has the power within themselves to thrive with the proper supports in place. She uses a psychodynamic approach to help individuals identify the various traumas that may be affecting their daily functioning and overall quality of life. In addition, she supports her clients dealing with their various individual stressors using a variety of treatment orientations, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness. 

Anum uses a very welcoming and non-judgmental approach, she provides her clients with a space that offers them compassion, empathy, and validation.
